Playing Up

In line with CBI junior competition rules, members must register and be affiliated with a Cairns Basketball affiliated club and play with their club in their correct age division. 

Registered players may also nominate with a team in a higher age group upon payment of the applicable fees for that age group, provided that they take the court for the same Club in both teams. 

Where a parent/carer requests that their child play up, subject to space availability we will make every effort to enable this to happen as long as the child’s skills meets the requirements of the higher age group team.

Where a child is requested to play up by the Timberwolves Club Committee, for example where one team is short of registrations or a rep coach requires this to happen, any play up fees will covered by the club.

Where the request to play up is made by a parent or carer, any play up fees must be covered by the parent/carer.

The current cost of play ups charged by Cairns Basketball is $80 per person.
